My work is an invitation to a dialogue with the viewer and shares my passion to be in harmony with our natural environment. Focusing almost exclusively on the connections between plants and flowers, my paintings want to be a reminder of our coexistence, of the healing power of nature and bring awareness to a sustainable way of painting.

My purpose is to teach through art and to set an example by the way I live. This has transformed my practice and has forced my timeline to be adjusted to slower rhythms. I dedicate time gathering natural materials, some can be local minerals such as a variety of clays, brittle rocks, ochres, dirt and salts amongst many others.

My painting process relies on preparing natural dyes or extracting pigments from plants, fruits or vegetables. Everything I do is an amalgam of the knowledge acquired in school and the many experimentations done through the years. I realized  that I could send a message through my paintings to inspire a love for nature and that I could bring our homes to a closer relationship with the natural environment.
